The Dubai Fountain is the world's largest choreographed fountain — and it's completely free to watch. Every evening, jets of water dance up to 150 meters high set to music ranging from Arabic classics to Whitney Houston. Here's everything you need to know for the best experience.
Evening shows: Every 30 minutes from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM daily Daytime shows: 1:00 PM and 1:30 PM (Saturday to Thursday), 1:30 PM and 2:00 PM (Friday) Duration: Each show is approximately 5 minutes long Music: Each show features a different song — Arabic, Bollywood, pop, and classical. The most popular songs include: "Baba Yetu" (the iconic show) Arabic classical pieces by Hussain Al Jassmi Whitney Houston's "I Will Always Love You" Andrea Bocelli's "Time to Say Goodbye" No show calendar needed — shows run on a fixed schedule every evening regardless of weather, season, or events. The only exception is during extreme weather (very rare in Dubai).
1. Souk Al Bahar Bridge ⭐ Best overall The bridge between Dubai Mall and Souk Al Bahar gives a straight-on view with Burj Khalifa directly behind the fountain. Arrive 15-20 minutes early for front-row railing position. 2. Dubai Mall Waterfront Promenade The lower-level walkway along the lake. Less elevated than the bridge but closer to the water. Great for photos and videos. 3. Dubai Mall Observation Area (outside lower ground level) Multiple viewing platforms accessible from the mall's lower ground exits. Wider space, better for families. 4. Burj Khalifa Park Across the boulevard from Dubai Mall. A less crowded alternative with a slightly different angle. 5. Palace Downtown Hotel terrace ☕ The public café terrace has excellent views. You'll need to buy a coffee (AED 35-50) but it's worth it for comfortable seating and an unobstructed view.
