All Dubai Metro fares use the Nol card. From Baniyas Square expect AED 4 within one zone, AED 6 across two zones, and AED 8.50 for journeys covering the full network. A standard Silver Nol card costs AED 25 (AED 19 of stored credit). Gold Class cabins double the fare and sit at the front of the train. Children under 5 ride free.
Trains call at Baniyas Square every 3–7 minutes from 05:00 to midnight Sunday–Thursday, with extended service to 01:00 on Friday and Saturday. The first train on Friday departs at 05:00. Trains are air-conditioned and the platform has women-and-children-only carriages clearly marked in pink — fines for misuse start at AED 100.
From Baniyas Square the most-asked routes are: Burj Khalifa / Dubai Mall (change at relevant interchange), Dubai International Airport DXB Terminals 1 and 3, Mall of the Emirates, and Dubai Marina. Most journeys across the Red Line take 25–45 minutes end-to-end. Trains can be packed during 7–9 AM and 5–8 PM peaks — board the rear carriages for the best chance of a seat.
Eating, drinking and chewing gum on the metro is fined AED 100. Sleeping on benches is fined AED 300. Bring an empty water bottle and refill at the platform fountain after the gates. Wi-Fi is free network-wide. Pay with the Nol card at any station kiosk, vending machine, or via the RTA Dubai app.
